ChannelMarker Submissions

You may enter up to five (5) of your original works that have not been published elsewhere.

• You may submit works of poetry, fiction, flash fiction, creative nonfiction, personal narrative, spoken word.
• Each submission must be uploaded as an individual attachment.
• All submissions must be in Microsoft Word or Rich Text format.
• Use of Artificial Intelligence generated material is strictly prohibited.
• Please ensure that your contact information is included on every page of your submission.

Students whose work has been chosen will be notified in mid-March.

Each accepted author is asked to consider reading their work during the TCC Literary Festival held in the spring.

By submitting their entries by email, the original author, acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions (hereinafter, "submissions"):
Submissions will be shared with the editors and judges of the ChannelMarker. Neither the ChannelMarker committee nor any of its affiliated companies or entities including but not limited to Tidewater Community College are obligated to use your submission or pay you for any submission. By sending your submission to the ChannelMarker you acknowledge single-use publication rights. You, the author, retain all future publication rights. All submissions to the ChannelMarker will not be subject to any obligation of confidentiality. The ChannelMarker committee will make every effort to contact authors in the event editing is required and the submission is selected for publication.
